    Property

Welcome to Torretta dell’Inchino, a little white tower overlooking Ostuni transformed by its architect owner, Gianluigi, into a charming vacation home with a swimming pool.
We are on the hills of the White City, where the area’s classic trullo is transformed into a little, Ostuni-style tower. The characteristic mortarless stone structure that is emblematic of Puglia culminates here not in a cone-shaped roof but with a softer cupola influenced by Arabic architectural forms.

Gianluigi has introduced a contemporary architectural play on the antique form of these buildings: two parallelopided volumes are attached to the central tower, which remains the focal point and entrance to this original holiday home. The doorway has been preserved in its original state. To enter, you must stoop slightly...a bow to its authenticity, an iconic beauty derived from rural origins.

What are the new elements created from this dialogue between history and a contemporary reinterpretation that looks to the east for inspiration? Torretta dell’Inchino has a dual soul that originates in Puglia and launches itself towards Japan, sharing a sense of lightness, coherence and a zen-filled spirit with the Land of the Rising Sun.
The essential quality of design, made of balanced, linear planes, creates a refined elegance. And the entry gate, the pergola and the window grates were made from pieces of reclaimed iron: design down to the very last scrap!
Construction materials, contemporary design, vernacular and archetypal forms cohabit in uncommon harmony. And they find synthesis in the choice of oversized industrial lighting from Con.Tradition by Opinion Ciatti, the luminous set designers of the living experience at Torretta Dell’Inchino.

The result is harmony between the simple, rural informality of the little tower and the appeal of eastern simplicity: a blend of the traditional and exotic, of cultures not so very far apart. And a kind of alchemy is created between found treasures on a worldwide voyage, like the masks from Santiago in Chile and the Japanese raku ceramics, between local street markets and second-hand dealers, like the collection of barstools, the refurbished chairs renewed with a touch of orange or old agricultural implements reinvigorated with a new purpose.

La Torretta dell’Inchino is waiting for you with a wide range of suggestions. Rent this vacation home and embark on a trip within a trip.

INSIDE: La Torretta dell’Inchino is composed of a main building and two dependances.
The central core consists of three finely restored “torrette ostunesi” (typical architectural structures of the Ostuni countryside, unlike the trulli, culminating with domes instead of cone roofs) and three modern volumes. The entrance is in the first torretta, where you are greeted by a large living room with several sofas and a contemporary style iron fireplace.
From here, you enter the other torrette that feature a double bedroom and a bathroom with a shower; on the other hand, you are introduced in the new volume that houses the modern kitchen, overlooking a patio and the pool.
You’ll find another contemporary volume on the left of the main building, that hosts a dependance with a bedroom and its ensuite shower room.
There's a third contemporary volume overlooking the pool, that hosts a dependance with a bedroom and its ensuite shower room.

OUTSIDE: A pretty farmyard, paved with chianche (antique natural limestones carved by hand), welcomes you.
In front of the kitchen there is a patio for al fresco dining. A large terrace includes a 10x3meter chlorine pool, 1.40 meters deep.
The property is set on an estate with olive trees, many of them are centuries old.

BOOKING NOTES: La Torretta dell’Inchino has 6 sleeps in three double rooms and can be rented for a minimum of 2 people up to 6 people.
It is equipped with floor heating and can be rented all year around.

IDEAL FOR: People who want to spend a holiday together, sharing common areas but also enjoying their privacy.
