    Property

If you’re looking for a special place in Puglia for a romantic getaway, perhaps for your honeymoon or to celebrate an anniversary, Trullo Cutetto can’t be beat. With its enveloping interior and inviting, teardrop-shaped plunge pool, this seductive holiday home offers the ultimate in romance: rent it and experience the vacation of your dreams.
Saverio, the owner, wanted a place where he could completely unwind, where time stops completely. And from a small trullo with three, cone-shaped roofs on a hilltop in the unspoiled countryside at the edge of Cisternino, he created a perfect refuge for a couples vacation.

The result is petite perfection . . . a small space big on style. This intimate, cozy vacation home in the heart of the Itria Valley is an intriguing blend of authentic Pugliese character and modern design that together create a unique style for an unforgettable stay.
A choice was made to leave the original appearance of trullo unchanged, restructuring it so that the interplay of tradition and design go hand in hand. A typical wooden ladder, used by the farmers to harvest fruit from the tallest trees, introduces you to this concept. This ladder is transformed variously into a work surface in the kitchen, a shelf and clothes hanger in the bedroom and a towel rack in the bathroom.
The spirit of original artefacts has been preserved throughout: original stone tiles are used for the trulli cones’ roofs, the original entry door is made from beautifully restored wood and there are typical polished cement floors and niches in many of the walls.
Even the original simplicity of the trullo has been respected through well-calibrated furnishings that are both minimal and essential in design: metal and iron are featured in the dining table and living room seating furniture, while the violet ceramic kitchen sink was made to order by well-known Grottaglie ceramic artist Enza Fasano. The suspended bed, Fluttua by Lago Design, is the absolute star of the show in the bedroom; the lighting was entrusted to the deft touch of Ingo Maurer.
The vacation home’s interior and exterior environment is rendered dreamlike by the dazzling white of the trullo’s limestone plaster. The overarching sensation is that of a space that exists in suspended animation, at once amplified by the illuminating creations of Polignano a Mare artist Peppino Campanella, whose work evokes the sea, the sky, the sunrise and the sunset.
Saverio’s attraction to the sea and the earth is captured in the trullo’s softly curving swimming pool, curves that invite you to be delighted by this angle of paradise far away from everything.

“An amusement that knows how to transport he who wants to leave this world . . . “ A dream vacation awaits at Trullo Cutetto. Share it with your partner and remain forever bewitched by this magical place in the heart of Puglia.

INSIDE: Trullo Cutetto is a stylish, small, essentially furnished and equipped holiday home.
It consists of the three volumes of the original trullo constructions without any modern building addictions.
The entrance is into the central trullo that features a low dining table and benches.
To the left, a sliding mirror door hides two openings, one leads to the bedroom, the other one to a mini-laundry.
The cosy bedroom features the suspended bed Fluttua by Lago Design and a TV on the wall; there’s no wardrobe, so we advise you to arrive here with only the luggage you would bring aboard a sailboat.
To the right of the dining area is the kitchen corner and the wet room-bathroom.
The cooking facilities are ideal to make breakfasts and light meals.
In a small space, bathrooms often feel like the afterthought, given as little space as possible, but the glass doors and the shower under the cone elevate this bathroom to a key feature of the home.

OUTSIDE: Trullo Cutetto is set on a hill, at the end of a country lane and backs onto a private wood. In front of the entrance is a farmyard with a barbecue, overlooking a garden dotted with olive trees. A few metres from the trulli is a tear drop shape plunge pool and an outdoor shower. The pool is approximate 4 metres long and 3 metres wide; depth ranges from 0 to 1.7 metres.

BOOKING NOTES: Trullo Cutetto can be rented from May until October.

    IDEAL FOR: adults only holidays.
