You’ll know you have arrived when your gaze falls upon a wide yard paved with chianche, with a charming swimming pool surrounded by the countryside, and with a view of Cisternino. The farmyard’s paving also has an age-old function, that of collecting rainwater in an underground cistern. Water is a precious asset in Apulia, and this method of collecting it is still used to this day.

The alchemy between tradition and modernity continues inside, where authentic chianche, niches, vaults and the handcrafted masonry kitchen are combined with more modern elements, such as induction stoves, a microwave oven and a pellet boiler.

The restoration work preserved the typical local materials, such as stone and wood, though the furniture chosen for this trullo is in a revisited country-style, blending rustic elements with more metropolitan details. A touch of poetry is given to the double room by the ‘Lucellino’ goose feather, winged wall lamp, by Ingo Maurer, while the living room is embellished by the Pouf Trix by Kartell, three elements which combine in a creative way and become an original two-person pouf, a comfortable chaise longue or a cozy armchair. The rooms are further personalized by heirlooms, like the bed from Valtellina or Lella’s mother’s French desk turned into a dining table, making the space wholly unique and ready to be experienced.
